I was born and raised in Hamburg.
I live with my husband and our three wonderful children in the center of Hamburg.
I studied at the UKE and received my doctorate in the Department of Medical Psychology. Since 2002, I have been working with great passion as a pediatrician and adolescent doctor, and in 2021 I fulfilled my long-held wish and completed training as a systemic consultant.
I have been working at the practice on Grindelberg since 2016, and in 2022 I took over the practice from my esteemed colleague, Dr. Wiggert-Türkis.

I grew up in the heart of the Ruhr region and began my medical journey at the University of Witten/Herdecke. During my academic career, I not only discovered my passion for pediatrics and adolescent medicine, but also gained a profound insight into immunology and completed my doctorate in this field.
In my free time, I enjoy life in Hamburg with my husband, our three fun-loving boys, and our loyal dog.
Professional career
- Since 2022 – Pediatrician with Dr. Nitsch in the enchanting pediatric practice at Grindelberg in Hamburg.
- 2013 – 2021 – Specialist training at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) with a focus on pediatric oncology. My particular interest was in the care of children with rare blood disorders.
- 2013 – Completion of the diploma in tropical medicine at the Bernhard Nocht Institute.
- 2012 – 2013 – Volunteer work as a pediatrician with “Mercyships”, a surgical hospital ship in Africa. This experience has enriched my medical practice in many ways.
- 2010 – 2012 – Specialist training at the Dortmund Children’s Hospital, where I was able to gain insights into general pediatrics, pediatric surgery, and pediatric intensive care.
- 2003 – 2009 – Studied human medicine at the University of Witten/Herdecke and doctorate in the field of immunology as well as studying abroad in Cleveland, USA.

I live with my lively and wonderful family in the middle of Hamburg. But we like to escape to the countryside in the beautiful Hohwachter Bucht in our free time, and we go on long journeys during the holidays.
