Poison Control Center North
The Poison Control Center North in Göttingen is available 24 hours a day for poisonings or suspected poisonings.
Have the following information ready:
- Age, gender, body weight
- What type of poison? (medication, household products, chemicals, plant, etc.)
- How much?
- When? If possible, the exact time of poisoning
- Condition of the child affected (symptoms, severity of symptoms)

Never do the following:
- Never induce vomiting, as it can lead to serious complications
- Never give salt water to drink, as it can lead to a life-threatening complication
- Do not administer charcoal, defoamer, or milk unless directed by a doctor
